Meet Alex!

So most of you know that I do not photography children, but a friend was in a bind so I helped her out. How could I not share this cutie with you??? If all kids were as easy as her, I would definitely have to consider photographing children! Just kidding! Photographing kids is definitely NOT my thing! I'll leave that up to those photographers whom specialize in kids and are great at it!! They truly have a gift...and I tip my hat off to them!!!

Emily+Vince Seattle Vintage Wedding

Not only did life lead Emily to Boston to attend the finest universities in the country, it also led her there to meet an amazing man that she would one day call her husband!!! Life then led the couple to Seattle where they just recently began their new life together as husband and wife!

Emily's mom embroidered this beautiful bouquet ribbon and surprised her with it on the day of her wedding. Gently attached to the ribbon hung the first ring that Emily's great grandfather gave to her great-grandmother, a locket that her grandfather gave to her grandmother and the first ring that her dad gave to her mother. It was the loveliest bouquet ribbon that I have ever seen.

I love these two photos. The first one is of Emily's mom looking at her daughter with such admiration and pride. The second photo is a capture of  Emily's father walking in the room and for the first time, seeing his daughter as a stunning bride.

And now for the handsome groom and his Best Man.

The details of this wedding were AMAZING! From the hand sewn linen napkins at the reception to the hand-made place cards to the hand picked flowers that the couple used for all of their floral arrangements!
Below is a photo of flowers that a friend of the couple grew for them specifically for their wedding. The other is a photo of Emily holding a sweet pea. When making a floral arrangement, she noticed a baby pea growing out of the left lower part of this flower. I think that that was extremely apropos given that this couple was just about to start a new life together! Best of luck Emily and Vince!!!

Sunny & Zack (Lawrence Engagement KU Campus)

It was obvious that Sunny is a daughter of a photographer!! Being in front of a camera was so natural for her! There is something about this couple...the only way that I know how to explain it is that they simply glowed! They both look fabulous in every shot!!!

I had the privledge of taking Sunny + Zach's engagement photos on the beautiful campus of the  University of Kansas.  This was a special place for two reasons. One being that couple will exchange their vows at Danforth Chapel which is located on this campus. Secondly, KU is the ultimate reason that these two met each other.

If it wasn't for Sunny's dad moving to Lawrence to become Director of Budig Hall at Kansas University, Sunny may not have ever lived in Lawrence!
Yet, another gift from her dad!

These two photos are of them right outside of Budig Hall:

A special thanks to Steve for doing such a fabulous job with the reflector and to Matt for lugging all of my equipment all over the campus and making sure Sunny's hair was perfect!! When it comes to assistants, you two REIGN SUPREME!!!! ;)

Megan+Wes ( Wichita Wedding Photographer )

Both Megan+Wes are graduates of Goddard High School and Wichita State. But that just starts the long list of things that this couple have in common. They both love to watch sports together on TV, go to KC Chief and WSU Basketball games together, play board games, spend time with their families, watch DVDs....you get my drift! The most beautiful thing about this couple is that they TRULY enjoy EACH OTHER. Anyone can see this just by simply looking at them. The only downfall that I can see in Wes is that he is not a Yankee fan! just kidding! As you can see below, Wes is a die-hard Phillie's fan!

Megan looked radiant and made a beautiful bride.  Her hair and make-up were done to perfection! They say that brides have "that" look about them. Well, Megan definitely did!

The colors of the wedding were zebra and fuscia with a touch of orange. The bridesmaids matched the theme perfectly, wearing stylish fuscia dresses from The Bag Ladies.

Megan+Wes are bound to have beautiful children. Not only are they a beautiful couple, look how stunning both of their mothers are!

....and we can't forget photos of the groom getting ready!! Especially when he looks like Tom Cruise!!! Enough said!

This is what I like to call the "unVEILing." Many couples choose to take their formal portraits prior to the wedding so that they can have more time to enjoy their reception. The unVEILing is when the couple see each other for the first time and have a quiet moment to themselves (and me!) just before the festivities of the day begin. This is Megan+Wes' unVEILing:

The ceremony was held at Westside Freewill Baptist Church in Wichita.  What made this ceremony so special was that it was officiated by Wes' older brother, Trent. Trent was just recently ordained. This was his first wedding and he did a wonderful job! Having Trent officiate the wedding meant a lot to both Megan+Wes. The couple is  also very lucky that Megan has such a talented grandmother. Mary Lynn made all of the floral arrangements and decorations. She worked very hard for months and her attention to detail was obvious! The sanctuary looked beautiful!

From Miss to Mrs.

The zebra theme of this wedding was very apropos given that the reception was held at Tanganyika Wildlife Park in Goddard. All of the fresh flowers were provided by Stems. They did a fabulous job with all of the bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres and table centerpieces.

....and then it was time to get the party stared!! The dancing was non-stop all night long!! From the second dinner was completed, to the second that the wedding was over, there was a crowd on the dance floor! Jason with Dynamic Sound Entertainment  did an amazing job getting all of the guests involved!!!

Congratulations to Megan+Wes! I hope your lives are filled with an overabundance of luck, love and happiness! Thank you for having the confidence in me to do the honors of documenting the start of your future together! Much love!
